ah yes, law school is back in session...

it took a minute, but i feel law school in full force this week.

i gave an opening statement in one class today. my statement had potential, but in real life, it would have failed miserably. here, they said that the nervousness in my voice made me credible (i was afraid that it made me sound unprepared???) and that the quality of my voice sounded like i really cared about the case - that i understood the gravity of it, etc. after class my friend was like, "way to get all positive feedback. could it have been that you sounded nervous just because you were?" thanks for keeping me grounded. because i think that's more the case.

ANYWAY. i left out more than half of my statement. oops.

60 pages to read for my wills class.

can't wait for a weekend with friends.

some days are just hard.

for no particular reason. just hard. probably b/c i'm a selfish finite person. and so are all other people.

but ohio state won yesterday. =)

next weekend is the kind-of-annual-girls-weekend w/ my undergrad girls. i'm coming up with some playlists. any suggestions? we will be camping.... let me know!

funny how i can stay awake to ungodly hours searching things on the web, reading articles, etc.

but the minute i get this book in front of me, i fall asleep.
no matter what time of day.

i wonder why.

maybe b/c there are no pictures?

speaking of pics, this is the gift i gave trent for our wedding, care of the talent of my friend Jaeda:

exploding eggs...

did you know that if you are boiling eggs and you get distracted and they boil and boil and boil until all the water evaporates and then they still cook and cook and cook that they explode? really, truly explode? leaving little hard boil egg particles all over the kitchen?

i did not know that....

last night trent and i went to church at 707, a young adult church service at a local church. it was their baptism service. they baptized 17 people during that service, who all shared their stories. man, does our Lord redeem....  and protect.... and heal....

a young marriage near failure...

a young lady of a heart condition that should have left her unable to walk (now starts for CSU's women's basketball)....

a child molested by a neighbor who grew up to hate herself....

a young man who sought for completion in sex, drugs, and alochol...

a young woman who sought for love in the same...

a little girl who found the love of a Father at such a young age...

a mother who found the love of a Father at not quite a young age...

stories of redemption that make my heart smile and make me weep for joy.... then thirty-some folks were spontaneously baptized following the planned baptism. it was just good to be in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

...He puts us back together...
